The idea for Finnish it was born while preparing for the YKI (Finnish National Proficiency test). Our founders realized that even though many resources exist, there was a lack of structured, high-quality material—and more importantly, not enough practical speaking tools to build real confidence.
The founders of Ulusoy Apps are Turkish-born professionals living in Finland—one a Senior Software Engineer, the other a UX/UI designer. Coming from different backgrounds, they shared the same struggle: traditional language apps help you memorize vocabulary, but they don’t prepare you for real conversations in workplaces, bureaucratic situations, or daily life.
By leveraging modern Generative AI, they set out to build a personal language coach designed specifically for practical communication and YKI exam preparation.
